Eröffnung der Ausstellung "Menschenbilder" Eigelsperger im Museum für Abgüsse klassischer Bildwerke, München (Fotos #WolfgangSchwan ) #das_abgussmuseum Wusstet ihr, dass man in München die berühmtesten Kunstwerke der Antike sehen kann? 🏛️Und das sogar kostenlos?😯 @das_abgussmuseum bewahrt rund 2000 Gipsabgüsse klassischer Bildwerke auf. Gegründet wurde es 1869 zu Studienzwecken. Das “vergleichende Sehen” ist eine wichtige Methode der Archäologie, um Werke zeitlich einordnen zu können und Unterschiede festzumachen. Ihr müsst dazu wissen, dass Skulpturen sich nicht nur über die Zeit in ihrer technischen Ausführung und der Gestaltung geändert haben, sondern dass viele Stücke auch mehrfach kopiert wurden. Daher gibt es mehrere Exemplare von ein und derselben Skulptur. Heute dient die Sammlung immer noch Studien- und Lehrzwecken, ist aber auch öffentliches Museum!
